T4+ is unleaded, colourless and contains no ethanol. Its whole job is to remove problems rather than add numbers, which makes it the easiest race fuel to start with.

Every pump in Europe tells you what’s in it
Since October 2018, petrol pumps across the EU have carried the same labels: E5 or E10, the maximum ethanol content by volume. For most cars that doesn’t matter. For a four-stroke bike, quad or kart that sits between race weekends, with a fuel system that was never specified for ethanol, it’s the start of an argument about water in the tank, perished seals and a carburettor that needs stripping in spring.
T4+ was built to end that argument: a fuel you pour straight in instead of premium pump petrol, with no ethanol in it at all.
What VP says it does
- A direct pour-in replacement for premium pump petrol, with no ethanol.
- 98.5 (R+M)/2 octane for more protection against detonation than pump fuel.
- Up to 2% more power and sharper throttle response across the rev range than VP’s T4, on similar tuning.
- Better behaviour than pump petrol over long periods of storage.
Drop-in isn’t the same as optimised: VP recommends proper tuning to get the full benefit of the fuel.
Who it’s for
VP lists T4+ for motocross, motorcycle road racing, ATVs and UTVs, snowmobiles, karts, personal watercraft and powerboats. They have little in common beyond a four-stroke engine and an owner who doesn’t want to think about fuel.
T4+ is colourless, so label your jugs. And if your championship nominates a fuel, that comes first.
